Tournament Benefits Derby Parents as Teachers

Parents as Teachers (PAT) is a free school readiness program for families with children, prenatal to age 5, who live within the Derby school district boundaries.  Parents are their child's first and most influential teachers.  PAT provides research-based information, support and encouragement parents need to help their children achieve optimal development during crucial early years of life.  The program offers school readiness activities through creative and fun avenues.  PAT includes monthly home visits, routine screening, group connections, teen parent groups and Wee Panther Pals.  Derby PAT is affiliated with the Parents as Teachers National Center and Derby Public Schools.
