Apply for a Grant
The Derby Education Foundation is pleased to award on a bi-annual basis monetary grants to USD 260 teachers and programs to support innovative educational endeavors for USD 260 students.
Maximum Grant Amount: $1,000 per grant application
Grant Application Deadlines: November 2, 2025 & April 5, 2026.
Grant Award Dates: Third week of November; Third week of April.
Exceptions to these grant application deadlines will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the DEF board of directors. Contact the DEF at info@derbyeducationfoundation.com for more information.
Frequency of Awards: Teachers are invited to apply as often as they wish, however, in order to spread the DEF’s limited grant resources around, first priority will be given to new grant applications during each grant cycle.
Post-award Follow-up: The DEF board requests that the grant recipients provide follow-up information to the board describing the student educational benefits that were obtained utilizing the funds.
Please Note: As a general rule, the DEF does not fund food purchases, travel accommodations, prizes, behavior incentive items, or teacher training.
